Clinic manager Doris Bailey was honored Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at the seventh-annual Cavanaugh Distinguished Service Award ceremony at the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry.
The award is funded by former University of the Pacific Vice President for Finance Patrick Cavanaugh and his wife Janita. It recognizes staff members from the Stockton, Sacramento and San Francisco campuses for exceptional accomplishments, leadership, innovation and service to the university community. Dental school faculty and staff nominate colleagues who have contributed to the school's vision, mission and values.
Doris started at the dental school as a group practice receptionist in 1991. She has served in various roles including patient services director, clinic relations manager and clinic operations manager.
One of her coworkers commented on the nomination form, "Doris has served on multiple committees devoted to developing new, innovative ways of serving many of the school's missions and visions. She serves with dignity, integrity, and her respect and compassion for people come through in her positive, considerate and pleasant demeanor."
Another said, "Doris is a wonderful person and dedicated, talented employee. Her actions have supported the mission, vision, and core values of the Dugoni School."
A third commentator said, "Doris maintains and demonstrates all the ideals and promises of Pacific. She cares about the students, patients, and the staff. Her goal is always to make the Pacific experience a rewarding one for everyone who enters our doors."
