On-Site Registration
Friday: 7:30 am – 5:00 pm, Grand Ballroom, Lower Level
Saturday: 8:00 am – 1:30 pm, Terrace Room, Terrace Level

Avoid waiting in line at the meeting: For pre-registration status, whether by mail or on-line, RSVPs must be received by February 2, 2018. Badges will not be mailed in advance, but registrants will receive a confirmation email.

Note: The registration fee of $180* applies to pre-registration through February 2 only; the on-site registration fee will be $240.

Bring Your Staff/Guest to the Meeting

Your pre-registered hygienist, dental assistant and lab technician can attend any of the lectures Friday and/or Saturday for a $150 CE fee. After February 2, registrations are on-site only and at a $180 fee for staff members needing CE units. No charge for your non-staff guests to attend the Reception on Friday, but kindly sign them up on your registration form so we know how many people to expect!

Dentists in your employ cannot attend as “staff,” but are welcome to join our Dugoni School of Dentistry family as Associate Members. Encourage your non-Dugoni dentist/ hygienist friends to attend our meeting by joining as Associate Members for $210 membership dues, plus the $180 pre-registration fee for dentists, $180 for hygienists.

Make life easy, and help your Alumni Association at the same time, by staying at the Fairmont Hotel as a participant of our required room block. Our group rate begins at $349. The member reception will begin after the Plenary Session. Alumni Association members and guests will be joined by Class of 2018 students and residents; student sponsorship to cover the cost of their attendance will be most appreciated.

Plenary Session Keynote Speaker: Arthur A. Dugoni, DDS, MSD
Dr. Arthur A. Dugoni ’48 held the position of Dean at University of the Pacific School of Dentistry for 28 years, from 1978-2006. In August 2004, the dental school was named in his honor, the first time a U.S. dental school was named for a current dean. As Dean Emeritus, he continues to serve as part of the Development Office team. In addition to the Keynote Address, The Plenary Session will include remarks from the dean, Dr. Nader Nadershahi ’94, and Medallions of Distinction will be presented to three distinguished members of our community: Professor Emeritus; Dr. William Carpenter; Alumni Association Past President, Dr. Nava Fathi ’95; and Ms. Joan Yokom, Director of the dental school’s Design and Photo division. We’ll hear from our current Alumni President, Dr. Daniel Castagna ’81, and be introduced to the 2018-2019 President, Dr. Mary Turoff ’77. Class gifts will be presented to the dean by representatives from ten reunion classes. All meeting attendees and guests are invited to attend.

The Symposium is open to orthodontists and general dentists. Each speaker will devote one hour to topics relating to the orthodontists role in OSA. Courses are scheduled individually for the convenience of members who may wish to attend meeting lectures outside of the Symposium.

Advancing Diversity at the Dugoni School

Join Director of Admission Stan Constantino, current dental students and alumni for lunch and a candid dialogue about the diversity benefits and challenges facing dental education and the Dugoni School. Additionally hear personal narratives of dental students and alumni and, in small groups, brainstorm and discuss strategies for attracting and matriculating diverse dental students.
