Oral Medicine Center

Welcome to the Oral Medicine Center at the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. The Oral Medicine Center is staffed by faculty members with advanced training and experience in all aspects of oral medicine and clinical oral pathology. We are pleased to offer a broad range of diagnostic services to dental and medical practitioners in Northern California.

At the initial visit, each patient receives a comprehensive evaluation including a medical and dental history and a clinical examination. Biopsy, x-rays, or medical laboratory tests are performed when indicated.

Hours of Operation

Patients can be seen by appointment only.
Tuesdays from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon and 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. (note: last appointment is at 4:00pm)

We are available to take your calls Monday through Friday from 8:30am - 5:00 pm. Patients may schedule an appointment by calling (415) 929-6611.

All clinics are open January - December and closed during holidays and exam weeks.

How to become a patient

A patient may elect to come to the Oral Medicine Clinic on their own because of oral concerns or be referred by a dentist or physician. Patients may schedule an appointment by calling 415-929-6611.

Fees and Payment Plans

The initial examination fee is $75.00. Additional diagnostic services are charged separately. These may include biopsies, x-rays, and subsequent visits to monitor therapy, follow progress of lesions, or alter medication, etc.

Payment is due at the time of service. We will be happy to fill out insurance forms to reimburse the patient for their payment. Please bring completed, signed, dental and/or medical form(s) to the initial visit. Medi-Cal, Medicare, and major credit cards are accepted.
