David W. Chambers, EdM, MBA, PhD, professor of education at the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry as well as an honorary fellow of the American College of Dentists and editor of the Journal of the American College of Dentists, is spending October-December 2008 as a visiting scholar at the University of Cambridge in England. Studying in the Department of Philosophy, he is focusing on moral philosophy under the tutelage of Professor Simon Blackburn. His position at Cambridge is being sponsored by Dean Ferrillo and Dame Margaret Seward, former Chief Dental Officer of England. Chambers says, "The personal standards a dentist holds may be the single greatest determinant of quality of care patients receive."
