CE Policies

Insurance Coverage

The University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry is not responsible for providing liability or malpractice insurance in hands-on, patient treatment courses. Participants enrolled in courses that require patients may be asked to provide proof of such insurance coverage.

Course Credit

University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry is authorized to award continuing education credits by the California State Board of Dental Examiners. All dental courses are approved for continuing education credit by the American Dental Association's Continuing Education Recognition Program and accepted by the Academy of General Dentistry. Please refer to each course description for the specific number of continuing education credit hours. One unit of credit is awarded for each hour of instruction.

Special Tuition Discounts

Recent graduates of the Unversity of the Pacific are entitled to two free lecture courses upon graduation.  Please call the Division of Postgraduate Studies to redeem your free lectures.

Refunds

All Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry continuing education programs have a money-back guarantee. Your tuition is 100% refundable if you are not completely satisfied with any of our programs.

Other than tuition refunds, the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry is under no financial obligation to reimburse participants for airline tickets, hotel reservations or any other costs incurred should the need to cancel or reschedule programs arise.

Registration Cancellations

We require that refund requests be made in writing at least 24 hours in advance of the start of the program. No refunds will be made for cancellations received on or after the date the program begins.

Location

Unless otherwise specified, all courses are held at the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, 2155 Webster Street (at Sacramento Street) in San Francisco, California. Signs will be posted to direct you to the assigned registration area and classroom. The only entrance of the school open to the public on weekends is the main clinic entrance located on Sacramento Street.

Parking and Public Transportation

For programs held on weekends, parking will be available in our outside parking lot on Sacramento Street. The lot will be filled on a first-come first-served basis. For programs held on weekdays, no parking is available at the school, however you may use the public parking facility located at the corner of Webster and Clay Streets at your own expense.

The dental school is also easily available by public transportation.

Photography

Photographing, recording or videotaping any continuing education program at the dental school is not allowed without advance written permission from University of the Pacific. From time to time, a photographer may be present and taking photographs of various courses, instructors and attendees for marketing and advertising purposes. Participants not wishing to be photographed should inform the course director, photographer or the continuing education division.

Other

Participants are responsible for their own meals unless otherwise specified.
